Presentation.

10.9 SYNERGY is an innovative, pioneering concept of providing intensive holistic training of Olympic rifle shooters through a series of workshops. The concept was created and developed by 3 successful and passionate Olympic rifle shooters, with almost 100 years of combined experience in the Olympic shooting field (as coaches and shooters).

We see innovation and collaboration as a way to offer diverse, flexible, professional tailor-made coaching in every aspect of shooting needed to produce Olympic rifle shooters.

The story.

10.9 SYNERGY is a new concept in training Olympic rifle shooting through intensive workshops. It was born from a long term friendship between 3 successful international shooters: Snjezana Pejcic, Guy Starik and Nemanja Mirosavljev – Slim.

The concept was born at a dinner table, during the Grand Prix Novi Sad in May 2016. After a long conversation about many aspects of rifle shooting, we realized that the synergy between the 3 of us is unique, and can be shared to help every shooter at any level to maximize their potential and bring them to new levels of shooting. One of the best results of our synergy  can be seen in Snjezana’s success in becoming the shooter of the year 2015, and world record holder in 2016.

Each one of us brings  different qualities to the training sessions, although we share the same passion, love and depth of understanding of our sport.

The Coaches.

Guy Starik prone shooting

Guy Starik

My name is Guy Starik, and I’m a very lucky guy. I’m happily married and have 3 wonderful children.

My lucky star has made sure that my profession is also my passion, and I have enjoyed every single day of my career for all of the 40 years. As a shooter, I’m known as a “prone specialist”, although, most of my success  as a coach, came from air rifle and 3p…

Since 1992 I was given the opportunity to play on both fields as a shooter and as a national team coach, which enabled me to gain unique depths, perspective, and point of view. Also, it allowed me to understand many of the aspects of Olympic rifle shooting. As an ISSF A lisence coach, I work on a daily bases with a wide variety of shooters: juniors (in my home club),Israeli national teams, and Paralympics shooters. I was a personal coach of World champions, European champions, World Cup winners, and Paralympics multiple medalist.

I’m really excited from this  innovative project, and sure that our unique team can make coaching in the highest levels avialable for every shooter in the world!

Snjezana Pejcic

I found myself at the shooting range because my friend wouldn’t take no for an answer. It wasn’t really love at first sight, but I kept on coming back because I don’t know how to quit.

And luckily for me I finally managed to do really something big after 13 years of shooting. Usually people go step by step and win some medals before they win (if ever) an Olympic one. Of course I did the opposite. I won the bronze medal at the Olympics in Beijing. It was a fantastic experience and very much an unexpected one. After that, everything else fell in place and my career started unwinding.

Nemanja Mirosavljev

Nemanja Mirosavljev

In 1989, when I was 19 years old, my American shooting friends gave me the nickname SLIM. I guess, Nemanja Mirosavljev was too hard to pronounce (sometimes even for me), and my appearance definitely fitted the bill. And so, from that moment on, I’ve been known as Slim by most of my worldwide shooting friends.

Apart from having won medals at almost every possible competition except at the Olympics (been there 5 times!), my friends know me as one of the fastest shooters ever, and an excellent kneeling shooter.

What I’m really proud about myself is a change that I went through during my career. From absolutely “wild” approach to shooting, I turned to more scientific approach to the sport in trying to improve my results. As a result I discovered that all the knowledge I gained in this process I could easily transfer to other shooters!

So I started helping shooters, advising them…. Along the way I obtained the ISSF B coaching lisence, and it’s already been 9 years of coaching experience that I’ve greatly enjoyed, especially seeing my protégées progress and prosper with ease and at a great pace.

Snježana, Guy and myself have been sharing similar visions and enthusiasm towards shooting, coaching and life, and because of that I am sure that “10.9 SYNERGY” will prove to be the best coaching team ever. Give us the chance to prove it!

Testimonials.

Rajmond Debevec.

Who are Snjezana, Guy and Nemanja?

I have known them for so long that I need to think hard to remember the days when I met them for the first time.

In the late 1980’s Nemanja had already joined the national team of former Yugoslavia as a junior. Almost 30 years ago we had become members of one of the strongest teams ever in the world together with Goran Maksimovic. Nemanja was very young but his shooting knowledge and skill grew with enormous acceleration. He was a real all-round shooter and won medals in all shooting disciplines. I am sad Nemanja is not shooting matches next to me anymore but at the same time I am happy that he decided to use his experiences as a coach.

Does anybody remember that Guy used to also shoot the air rifle and 3-position? I do. While I was shooting at world cups and Olympic games neck to neck with Guy many weren’t even born yet. Guy later specialised in the prone position and became one of the world’s best prone shooters. He soon started transfering his knowledge to younger shooters and successfully managed to coach and shoot at the top international level.

The first time I met Snjezana was in the late 1990’s when she became a member of Croatia’s junior team. She had started building her career brick by brick and had gone from her first air rifle European Championships junior medal in 2002 to winning Olympic bronze in Beijing 2008 and shooting a fantastic World record 3×20 in Rio last year.

But what really counts is that through all these long years we weren’t just shooting colleagues, but true friends. While competing against each other for top scores on the shooting line we also helped each other and shared our shooting experience without secrets.

This is a coaching team with knowledge, dedication and a passion for the shooting sport and I know they are bound to be successful.

Snjezana Pejcic.

Before I started working with Guy and Nemanja, I wasn’t consistent with my results. They were OK, but nothing special.

Then the guys took me under their wing and that changed everything.
When Guy shows you how to fix things that you’d been struggling for years in an hour or when Nemanja describes how you should be feeling when in a position… well, it’s eye-opening, let me tell you.
After that, an amazing journey started. Medals started piling.

Synergy is where magic begins…
